1992 Grove Innovations X-Frame

This is the only bike to date that I'm embarrassed to have put effort towards. I was impatient in looking for a Ritchey fork for the Breezer and ended up getting the fork with this frame. I had some XC-Pro parts laying around and decided to see how it rode. It actually handles nicely but its heavy and ugly as sin. I ended up taking this to Keyesville as nothing else functioned at the time, and although it performed well, I regret "showing" it.

  1. Man, I would not be embarrassed to ride that anywhere! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder for sure.... If you ever wont to unburden yourself let me know.

  2. yeah, i would love to have grove x frame.

for some reason, bill grove could never get one delivered in the early 90's. the owner had one, but for some reason, he got the constant b.s. runaround for something like a year until we just gave up.

a couple of years later one showed up on the local trails, iridescent purple. too cool.

i think an updated version could be a fantastic niche bike.

  3. where do you get your tires from? So cool tires on almost every bike. For some reason i'm fond of the grey ones.

  4. Tires were from ebay and they still pop up from time to time.
